Here another bad picture, but you get the just of what they look like. This one is about 6.5 inches. My wife hates it and says it looks like an alien. I love it because unlike many other plecos it is out an about at all times and really eats some alge!!

It got it online from Wetspotcx. Last time I looked I think Jon (owner or music city cichlids) had some smaller ones for sale.

Hope you don't mind, I worked on the pic a little bit to get a better idea of how this guy really looks. Your wife if right, it does look like an alien. Unlike her, though, I think that's a good thing.

Thanks fishme ;D.
You can kind of see that it looks fuzzy and almost like it has hair stubble on it. Plus it's beaty orange eyes and weird shape really make them look strange. Beautiful, but yet strange at the same time.

This is a very nice example.
Strange, aquatic critter have a royal pleco in their large freshwater "not for sale" tank in the saltwater section. It has no lines and its eyes aren't red. Its beautiful(well ugly, but large and neat) but looks nothing like the ones in books. I asked them what it was as I didn't recognize it.
