Here's a peek in at the community tank we're building around the one geophagus we have left. Excuse the reflection of hands, arms, camera and excuse the dirty glass--will get a better one soon. But too excited not to share! 55G with one cory, 5 albino BN plecos(from plecoman's stock), 1 pleco obtained from Titansfever83, 1 geo. orangehead, 1 black ghost knife, 1 snail, 6 neons, 6 serpae tetras, 6 diamond tetras and 6 tiger barbs.

Looks like the barbs got separated, or maybe they pissed off those 2 diamonds that are chasing them. ;D BTW, I think the snail you have is an apple. Take a look at www.applesnail.net or just search around. I'll be stopping by Critter on my way home to pick up a Mystery snail from Critter for the Betta tank. Will post pics with my better camera, too.

Awesome! When you're there, have a look at the pink tailed chalceus. They're so neat! Worth a look. And the sterlets in the planted tank in the front too. Had fun there yesterday. The barbs get back together a lot, but the other fish in there give em a run for their money. If they had money. It's a good mix so far. The neons will be the first to be in trouble.

It's the kind they sell at the Critter. The ones they have above the tank rows, mounted on wood plank bases. I got it from a couple of guys who were changing directions with their tank.

Thanks. It's a way to keep the orangehead happy, and pay respect to the non-cichlid members here. I'll be happy to keep some non-cichlids as well, even if cichlids is my obsession! Jon I need some green pellet food. Do you have any spare to sell? And maybe some bags?

Went by Critter and walked out dry-handed. ;D They only had yellow snails, which I'm not sure of. Mystery snails are plant-friendly, which is why I'm wanting that specific kind.
Good to hear the barbs are together again. Hopefully, they won't peck the little one out of the school like they did with me. I think they just needed some intimidation to stay in their pack.
