He had a tasty tail, I guess. Doesn't seem to have slowed him down any.

When you come down to it, it's still one of the prettiest little fishes in existence. Think how popular they'd be if they got about six inches.

Very! I always did like them but was afraid I couldn't keep them alive. They're not so bad, though. Had some I adopted out thinking I couldn't keep them but looking back I had them for like 4 months before adopting them out and they were fine.

I've been considering adding a few of these to my 26. Very pretty fish!

I had like 8 of them at one point. When I told the guy at the pet store I was using them to cycle a tank, and then they would be fish food for the fish I was going to keep... he almost didn't let me have them. Tough little buggers.

They are super sensitive to Ph changes and cycling so that's possibly why he was hesitating. They're usually the first ones people kill not knowing about the cycling.

funnily enough neons never appealed to me. Tetras in general don't really appeal to me. I like the black ones but other than that, not really lol. And even then i don't know that i like them enough to ever get them, more than likely not unless it is in a huge tank where they won't make much difference to stocking as i don't want to use precious stocking space for them when there are many other fish i would rather have first
