Ptychochromis East Coast Golds are here! I just can't believe it! Only yesterday I discovered the eggs and today--right now--they're hatching! I watched one egg open and start to wiggle even! There's still more to go. Now to figure out what to do with them!

I blocked off the bottom of the divider with something a little more solid so they didn't flip over and go under it or escape through the holes. Last I counted last night there were 14 and some eggs still looked hatchable. Half afraid to look this morning, but I'll get down there and see before long. Very exciting! By the way, these fish are gorgeous in their breeding colors. But then, aren't they all? Another two have tubes down, so I've got at least 2 girls, if the one guy is taking care of them both. I think they pair up though.
