dont strip, only reason breeders do is so they can breed again quickly. let nature do its thing and enjoy.

i moved away from the nylon breeding nets to the clear plastic ones with small slots. i found that my other fish were killing the fry through the net.

I net out the female into a bucket of water taken from her tank, then I coat my hands in StressCoat so I can handle her. I use my fingernail or a toothpick to pry her mouth open and gently massage her throat, until all fry have been released. I don't like dunking. My purpose is not so she can bred again(last female I actually moved to another tank so she could recover and fatten up again), but so that the babies won't mostly get eaten in the main tank.
