Rescaped the tank this week. I replaced the substrate with black sand. It looks quite bare to me right now, but once the plants start growing back in, I think it will be gorgeous. Attachments:

Well thank you. I actually got rid of all my apistos except maybe 6 juveniles that are growing out because I couldn't catch them. They are full F1s.

Here is the lastest pic of the display tank. I got some plants in that were part of the plan from the beginning, but I had a hard time getting my hands on them. I have a new favorite online retailer of plants too by the way - stores.ebay.com/plantedaquariumscentralI think the money-shot on this tank is about a month from now, assuming all goes well. I think should have done the substrate a little differently. The sand that's elevated behind the rocks is slipping through. I think I should have used some regular size gravel back there, that doesn't move as easily. Attachments:
