Sometime between last night and this morning our newfoundland Duke died. He was the world's best dog, and we have had a wonderful 9 1/2 years with him since we got him from the shelter and he was at least 2 then. It just doesn't seem long enough.

I am so sorry for your loss! Dogs always become a big part of the family, and it is so hard to lose them. Just remember all of the good memories!

He was special. There could never be another one just like him. Thanks for that--and you're right. He was family.

Dogs don't live long enough, I am sorry for your loss. In dog years a 12 year old dog had a full life.

Sorry to hear it Angel. I remember that dog, was very friendly. I hate when the good ones go.
