New member and fairly new to the area. I'm mainly interested in planted tanks. I used to have about 10 planted tanks going at one time before I moved here. Back in business, just set up a 25g.  This tank will be mainly manzanita wood, nymphaea and nymphoides. I'll post pictures when I have some. |

Welcome to the group and the area. I do planted tanks but am not a pro at it at all. I keep and breed fish in the planted tank so it is for me the viewing pleasure of the whole tank. We do have some here who are much more into planted tanks. I think you will like it here. Georgene my friends call me George aka vladsbtch. |

Welcome. I do planted tanks too. I have over 30 tanks and all ahve some plants in them, but I also have several display tanks - 2 high tech.
I always have some plants available too.

Thank you all. I've been looking for tanks on craigslist and they seem to be quite expensive here. I remember buying tanks for $1/g max not long ago. Any good source for used tanks?
Are there monthly meetings of the club? auctions?

I use craigs list. you can talk a lot of them down to the 1.00 gallon after they have set for a while not selling. People seem to believe that just because they spent a lot on the original tank they are going to get more money out of it. I have bought almost all of my tanks on craigs list and believe me I have never paid more then 1.00 a gallon in the end. I have even gotten some really fantastic deals. Just keep watch on what you want and you can get it.
We just had a meeting/trade/sale not that long ago and hopefully will have an other one before to long.
