Hi!

I'm Sam, moved here in July from Louisville, KY to go to Vandy for grad school. My three fish tanks came with me, though now they have condensed to two. I have a 10g tank for my one betta boy, Gil, and then a 29g community which is in the process of being upgraded into a 46g bowfront I found on craigslist. Also planning a nano Walstad shrimp tank soon. All my tanks are planted.

Louisville was a little scant in the "good fish store" department, and I finally just discovered The Aquatic Critter here last week, so I am excited about having more access to the hobby, though maybe less excited about what it means for my wallet.

I'm glad to have found an aquarist community here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone soon

I also definitely want to officially join the MCAA, so hopefully I'll get my dues sent where they need to go pretty soon.

We have a lot of members that are very knowledgeable so just about any question you would have some one here can help you in one way or an other. There are also quite a few of us who are DIY on some things. I am guilty of that myself as it can save a lot of money and I enjoy being able to show off making something myself. LOL.
