wish I knew what these fish are

I have 2 fish that look like minnows. I got them at the critter. They were in with the ghost shrimp so I am guessing that they are a native fish of florida. I have had them for about 6 months maybe more. Well today they are nest building and doing the spawning dance. And keeping the other fish away from their area. 3 of the other fish are bigger than they are and they chase them away as well. Anyways Here are some pictures. Their color is kind of an light olive and they have a white spot seen best from the top in front of their fin. One of the pics kind of show it. Thanks for looking and any help in identifying them. Pictures aren't great and my apologies for the dirty glass.

Well I was told on an other forum that these fish were some kind of killie. And that they are both female. Well I am still not sure what kind of fish they were (I took them to the critter and fed them to the big catfish they have, oh and he loved them LOL) but they were male and female. I have babies in the tank they were in and I also found some eggs in there. So I cannot tear it down and redo it yet. I will wait and see how many more babies turn up and then put them into a ten gallon tank.
The moral to that story is do not believe what you are told. They were a pair and spawning all over the place not two weird females. LOL...

yea, I know and I enjoyed watching them get eaten. Even worse. LOL But the catfish loved them. ;D
