A seine is the best to use but since I am usually hunting fish alone it is not an option for me. I have learned to use the casting net and it does a good job of catching minnows. The trap is a way to catch all kinds of minnows and even the occasional cray. We used to use the trap to catch minnows years ago when we went fishing. I have caught anything from just plain minnows to baby catfish and bass, even once caught a baby pike in it. I put bread and chicken liver in the trap. Anyways I think having someone who can identify the fish would be great. Lets go!!! Anyways PM me and we can all get a time and date to do it. I would also like to add that when I go hunting fish I take a garbage bag with me and clean the area I am in. So we can clean the area we are in while getting the fish. Believe me most waterways in TN have way too much garbage in and around them. This great weather we have been having has got me really wanting to get out and go fishing both with the nets and with the rod and reel.
