Had a second Rena smart heater die on me today after only a couple years in use. The first one I had stuck on and cooked some of the fish in my wife's tank at work. This one just crapped out on a customer's tank and therefore the water was in the mid 60s. Not a huge deal this time of year, but just the fact that neither one was that old and both faulty in that short amount of time will likely be enough for me to steer clear of them in the future.
Just thought I'd share in case someone here was considering one.

All of the other brands I have have lasted that long or longer. I had higher hopes for the Renas. Love the filters!
