Do you all get these in you tank? I have noticed them in one of the 30gal tanks where there was only 2 small brichardi living. Are they bad to have in the tank? if so what are they? and how do i get rid of them. They seem some kind of bactiria that only grows where some alge is.

I get them on the bottom of some of my tanks when I get lax on cleaning... I think it is either bacteria or algae. What I know is that my fry won't eat it, which tells me it's probably not good.

The midges are out. They're what make bloodworms. I had them a couple of times and thought they were a midge stage. They lay in the tanks if they can get away with it.

Yeha they are just in one tank! i have seen them before in filters ,and living in Alge that is not in the water. What it looks like they are to me is some kind small animal that tunnles in this type of alge. I can;t find nothing about them on the web. and it seems they are not in the tank with bigger fish, or plecos. Kind of a odd thing... I just have never seen them in a tank.
