I got home lastnight after doing my weekly water change did a 20% instead of the norm 10% after talking with John last week about his Xeno Mels. ,and BOOM just like that i now have a female holding. That male has been working his butt off for the last 2 months tring to get the 4 females to pay attention to him I am really happy about this one because the Male worked so hard for it!!!!
I dont think i will strip these eggs because there is nothing in that tank that should eat fry.... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! freaking happy.
now if i can just get my Cyprichromis Katate to get busy ...haha,

That's awesome! With my cyps, it seemed like it took forever for them to spawn, but once they did, they bred like crazy. They never ate the babies, so once they spit, they just swam around with all the adults. I always liked that aspect when it came to raising fry in my Tang tanks.

Nope...no tangs anymore except my Frontosa. I got rid of them 3 years ago before we moved.

I think we've had them 4 or 5 years now? They've been breeding for awhile. I have 4f/2m and then 5 fry. They are Burundi. They've all stayed small, though.

Males will eat the babies, mother will as well sometimes on her first couple clutches. I would get her by herself if you want to keep them.

once they start you can count on repeats. he will probably try same female so make sure she has recovered. i would get her in her own tank next time.
