If you ever come to Nashville or midstate, let me know. I'm interested in your Altolamprologus compressiceps Fire Fin's. I am in the process of setting up a 75 gallon Tang tank (think we talked about it earlier). If not, I can wait until the next swap.

How big are your fire fins? I wouldn't mind a few in my Front tank. There's always a risk they might get eaten if they are too small, but I do have 5 2" frontosa fry in there that no one bothers. I had a single Daffodil in there once but I think he died of old age. I live in Huntsville (Monrovia) so distance isn't an issue.

Tina/Angel also had some at one point, don't know if she still does. Jon and Mark can help you out with Fronts!

I also have the daffodil brichardis but most are small. I got 2 x 3" Brichardi left that love to hang out togeather in a shell (might be a pair) the fronts should not eat them.

I'm scared that a pair of brichardi would be too fierce for my Fronts, even in a 6 foot tank. That's why I only had a singleton. I know they can be mean when they are guarding fry. Otherwise it would be awesome to have them spawn...free food for my Fronts and loaches.
I have lots of hiding spaces for the Comps, I think they might be OK. If they won't even eat their fry, I doubt they would go after these guys.

i love my mixed malawi tank but i feel like one day down the road i will do what every serious hobbyist does and end up with a colony of fronts. what is it about them that everyone loves? i don't think they are the most colorful fish, nor are they the most active. i can't explain it, but i kinda want a colony.

Same here. We have been talking about switching over from mbunas to fronts. Like you say, just something about them!
