He's a member of the reef club and lives in Spring Hill. Nice guy. He just can't get them to breed, and really is more into salt.

discus are neet looking but they bore me! kind of like angel fish imo. i guess just not my cup of tea. the stay to still for my likings lol.

The sale of them is pending, according to his latest post on reef2reef. I had thought if he'd put some tall plants in there they might feel more like spawning, IF they're not all males or all females, but he had said he lost interest. Also that someone told him to go bare tank.

Everything I read and see agrees with the bare bottom tank idea but I think it's for more of a water quality issue than a breeding issue. Of course they are dependent on one another. But since many discus breeders do daily water changes it's just easier to deal with the bare tank from a maintenance standpoint and less of a place for nitrate buildup.
