So what makes them more blue one day than the next ? Are they getting ready to spawn ? they sure are pretty.
I am curious, the small Lamprologus Tretacephalis, that looks like the Frontosa's; do they get blue looking also or stay black and white ? Anybody keeping them ?

I don't really know what makes them more blue but I wouldn't think with these ones it's a spawn as they're still on the small side for that. I was curious about that myself though--something must influence them. I don't know a thing about trets we could use a lesson on these.

they are fish scale eatter for one.

They are a fairly small tang that get 4"-6" and they are similar in looks to a frontosa but they only have 5 stripes. They live in the rocks and are fairly aggressive. They are beautiful fish. I have a small group of 4 that live with leleupi, a comp and a synodontis.
