We now have 30 members on the site and have had over 90 guest in just two weeks. This is great and if members can spread the word I think we can get a lot more. I am going to start advertising the site state wide. If we can get a couple hundred members by the end of the year that contribute this will be an awesome site. I will be trying to do upgrades as I can. If we can hit 50 members by June that participate we will try and organize a fish swap/auction in August or Sept. Then I will start to collect info for the ACA, and if anyone has any other clubs they are interested in let me know and we can coordinate that also. I am having a lot of fun on here and hope you are too. I want to personaly thank my moderators- Roger, Joe, Angel and Patty and everyone else that is giving time to participate.

Thanks for setting up the site, Jon. I know it takes a lot of your free time away(free time, what's that?) but we do appreciate it! And thanks to all members for being here and participating in some great discussion!

I'm enjoying the site even though I'm not a cichlid person, I like that everyone is local.

I really like that, too tmom. And just because we don't all keep the same fish doesn't mean we don't have a ton in common. It actually makes it even more fun--I didn't even know there were freshwater shrimp but because you posted yours I do now.

I want to broaden it too. I just don't know enough about other fish to give advice. As knew members come on that keep other things, I will be glad to add boards. Anything from salt to fresh is fair game. Just PM me and let me know what to add. I am also going to add regions because we are getting people from all over the state. Nothing big, just put your user name in the thread for that region so if we organize a meet in your area we now who is where.

Will this limit us who are not in Middle Tennessee from discussions?

Absolutely not! Only help to know who is in what section of where! It would come in handy for trading, rehoming, help with emergency fish situations, networking, or just going over for coffee and discussing tanks!

Right, the only thing the region sections will do is make it easier to find someone in your area. All other posting will be normal.

Great!!! Of course, it wouldn't be that far out of the way to come back to Nashville either. We lived off HWY 70 for about 5 years. I would love to visit the Parthenon again!

We now have 40 members which is great even though only 20 use it regularly. If you know anyone that keeps freshwater fish, or even salt for that matter, encourage them to join and show off their tanks on the site. The more regular users we can get the better the discussions, and better the chance of the forum surviving.

We are up to 80 members now so 50+ since April. That is great! Way better than I expected. There were times where I thought we would fizzle out. I hope to be well over 100 by the new year. Thanks for everyone being a part.

The feedback I'm getting from some of the new members is that they'd been waiting for something local. This is exactly what we needed!
