Hey all !
Mike, aka KYANGELSNCORYS, came up with a brilliant idea earlier today and your officers have discussed this today.
Mike suggests we make a contest of it to see who can bring the most new members to a swap/meet, beginning with this swap/meet of Fall 2011.
How about this for a prize for the winner of the competition ?
The winner receives a 1 year addition to their membership in the club. A $15 value.
If 2 members tie the win, then they would split the prize and get a 1/2 year extra, each, for free or a $7.50 value.
And so on......., if more than 2 tie for the top prize.
Are you all up for this competition ?

If we bring ourselves and we're a new member does that count for 1?  -Rick (the armchair aquarist, who plans to bring his children, but doubts they count) |

Good question. I hadn't given thought to that one.
I believe my answer would have to be no.
I don't think it would be fair, since a person who is already a member would not have that advantage.
This would apply to bringing in another club member @ a swap/meet..
We still want you to join the club though.
One can join and submit dues in person, by mail, or using a paypal acct. if you contact me direct.
This competition is to encourage club members to bring in more club members @ the swap/meets, thus increasing attendance and the club roster.

I have a suggestion/request.
Some of you photographers........Can you bring your cameras to the swap/meet to take various pic's of our events, aquatics, and members, in order to put up onto the picture threads after the swap/meet is over ?

We would love to have them ! If any join, they count for your #'s.
Remember, we have a couple's price. $25 for 2, annually.
