Well I have been getting a lot of input from everyone here and like stated before I know very little about tangs, but here is what I have came up with so far for a stock list.
6 Multis 6 Cyp Leptosoma Kerenge Island 4 Juli transcripts
Can I add another group of something? If so any suggestions?

Goby Goby Goby! Sorry, I like Gobies . An altolamp would also round out that tank nicely. I suspect you might find success with both gobies and a 3rd substrate spawner (like alto's), but I would not expect 4 substrate spawners to work out well in a 4' tank. If it were my tank, I'd limit it to 4 species -- I'm wierd like that though! -Rick (the armchair aquarist)

Im the same way. I love the gobys. The ones i have seen are pricey. Probably will talk to Jon and see what he has.

If you're mail-ordering, you can generally find them at a reasonable price (until you pay shipping that is 8O ). I do believe Jon has some as part of his swap-meet-blowout-sale? Glen might still have some tanganodicus as well.

Xenos are all ways good if your going to have sand in the tank. Just remember the multies are going to take over a portion of that tank lol,

oh and i would buy more than 6 cyps they love to school ,and seem to be alot more active with biger groups. i would say atleast 10. because you don't want to be like me and end up with 5 male Cyp katetes and no females! from now on if i am buying something to make a colony I will only get 15 at a min. ,also the cool thing about cyps ,and xenos they will school together ,and you can have alot of males in one tank, they will not kill each other.
I will make a video tonight of my cyp and xeno tank if i get time you can check it out.

Is your tank a tall or long ? I did not care for the multies with my cyprichromis, because they would not let them hang out about the breeding grounds. so it limited my cyps on room, once i took the multies out the cyps really swim all over the tank. The cool things about cyps is they stay at the mid to top of the tank so that gives you alot of room for fish that like the ground like Xenos Golbies, also remember you will lose a few as you are leting them grow out so its best to buy more than not enough to make sure u get a good colony. i started with 10 Katet Cyps lost 3 because i was retarded ,and did not check to see how much Dechlorinator i had left ( i was out) started filling the tank after a water change ,and noticed i was out. I ran to pets mart to get some, but it was to late i lost my 3 females!!! then i had 2 males jump out of the tank! so make sure you got a good cover on it also ,if gaps put some screen or something blocking it.

Its a 48" long bowfront. I want to say 16" tall, but i have an idea of blocking off my multis from the other side of the tank with concrete pavers. Building a rock structure tall on the back side of the tank and put a paver/rock strucure in the middle to block line of site for the multis.

Mine were blocked off from most of the tank with rocks ,and they dont leave thier area. but they did like to swim high about thier shells like a helicopter gaurding a base! lol its fun to watch.
