We really enjoyed our D40 until it got lost in a move . -Rick (the armchair aquarist, who never got a macro lens for it, but might have to if he ever finds it)

I am currently looking at a Sony Alpha DSLR A700. This camera will accept my Minolta 35mm AF lenses, so that will save me some money. Thanks for the help Jon!

Frankly, unless you are planning on getting paid to take pics, for fish, christmas, and vacation any mentioned will be more than enough. If you are going to splurge, get a good lens.
