Does anyone here have or has had a Zebra Pleco L46? Has anyone seen one locally?

One of roger's friends has one. I can get them, but they are $250-300 and I have to get like a minimum of 5. I don't because of how sick I would be if they died on me. I have been tempted to try to breed them.

That is a big risk to take and after all this time the price is still so high. I've seen one at Aquatic Critter a few years back but, not since then....

If they ever release the ban, these will be like $50 ea. I don't see them releasing the ban anytime soon though.
They have released a few export bans in Brazil, so there are some nice stingrays and such starting to hit the market again. Lets just hope that our government does not pass the HR669 Bill. It will make a huge impact on our hobby. They are having a hearing in D.C. April 23rd.

If they were $50 I would have a 125 with about 30 of them and nothing else. Someday they might, but I don't see it happening.

I'd also have a tank dedicated to just them. Where can I find some info on the "HR669 Bill"?

If this bill were to be passed, and it went to the extreme some were carrying it to, not only would all the Yorkshire Terriers and French Bulldogs have to be put out of the country, but so would we. Most of us are not completely of a strain indigenous to this country or even continent and releasing us onto the land proved to be both invasive and deadly. Someone take THAT to congress! As far as the bill, there also is a regulation already in place stating that anyone releasing these imports into the wild is in violation of the laws so we don't need any more restrictions. The brown snake is one that is cited as being a problem: the USDA has a ban on all brown snakes and brown snake eggs. Why do we need another law on top of ones such as this? Write your representatives.
