Mine is a Pseudotropheus flavus. his name is Flava Flav and he is a dick!!! On another note am I the only one here that names his fish? just curious

My was a Jelly Bean Convict. Killed a full grown Oscar. Ripped him to shreds.

Melanochromis auratus was the meanest when these become adults the will kill everything! plus they get ugly as sin when older.

I've read that Glenoweth. I just saw two of these guys at the local Wal-mart. needless to say I steered clear. Pretty fish when they are young though

Bnoel is that some weird hybrid. I've never even heard of that fish. he sounds like a tough guy though if he got the best of an Oscar

I've read that Glenoweth. I just saw two of these guys at the local Wal-mart. needless to say I steered clear. Pretty fish when they are young though Yeah that is what i thought when i got my 1st 2 (nice yellow) lol.. that fish turned dark brown and almost killed everyhting in the tank! he soon found his way in to the local pond! lol... i'm sure he a some bass very happy.

I realize they are illegal now, but back in the day I owned a Snake Head, and nothing to date has been as aggressive as that fish.

I HAD A SNAKE HEAD AND I AGREE NOTHING WILL MESS WITH ONE IF THE SNAKE HEAD IS 6 INCHS HE WILL KILL A FISH 12 INCHS LONG. I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN

I had this Red devil that would try to bite you thru the glass. You could hear it scratching the glass. Someone had traded it in to a pet shop. The pet shop owner put it in their show tank with three full grown oscars and a few bala sharks. The Red Devil (about 4") killed the oscars and beat the balas up. They were very happy to part ways with it!

I didn't even know they had become illegal till I asked a pet store about getting one in, only issue besides the illegal bit is they are like Pacu and some other fish that just keep growing, you can have 3ft snakehead in a 10 gallon tank. for sure a ruthless fish, mine took out a Dempsey twice it's size, probably just to see if he could, lol.
