So I really just had a couple of questions. Forgive me if it has been mentioned or covered elsewhere. The fish logo with the guitar Who designed it? Is it the likeness of any certain cichlid? Has it always been the logo for the club? Also wondering if there is a color version? Are there any plans for stickers or bumper stickers of this logo to be distributed amongst the group sort of as a way to advertise the club and to show how badass we all are? These are just some random questions.

i think Fuzzy has a good idea if we get a DECAL that can be used for a window decal or a bumper sticker that way everyone in the club will help spread the word no matter where they go. it should have our web site on it so people know how to get in touch. great idea there FUZZY

I had magnetic signs, bumper stickers x 2, and T-shirts x 4, along with a logo pen and logo paper @ the fall swap/meet and ask for members to sign a sheet saying if they would be interested in any of the items, so we could place a bulk order and get stuff cheaper than what I paid for the individual items, which I already use to advertise, just as suggested here.

I only had 9 folks to sign stating an interest.
I needed at least 10 to get a price break, 25 to get a great price break.
I was hoping, at that time, that members would want to pay for items they wanted, since club dues can't cover the costs involved.

I presumed that most did not want to purchase any of the items since only 9 signed up.

To also inform, I had generic business cards made and we handed out 5 to every member, hoping all our members would give these 5 cards to either friends or even to 5 strangers, thus promoting the forum and the membership into the club.
We handed out over 250 of them on the swap/meet day and I have mailed out more since then to other members.

I am all for the ideas proposed here, and would be happy to head up an order, if we have the desire for enough of us to participate in the proposal.

The logo was designed when the club first formed almost 3 years ago, to reflect our name of Music City Aq. Assoc.. It was designed in black and white. I have T-shirts with the logo on them I had made for myself, in which I colored in a blue background to make it somewhat more colorful.
I think it looks pretty good.

You all discuss, and if enough of you are willing to buy T-shirts, Bumper stickers, Window decals, or Door magnets, etc... I will be happy to pursue again the bulk discount amts. to buy items.
We just don't need to tie up lots of club money without commitment from members.

How would you all feel if I cleaned it up in photo shop where it will be easier to print on shirts? or if you guys want i can make a diff one? If you look at the drawing the size has been changed, and it is not really clear this makes it really hard for print shops to use, u can see the pixels (small squares) when the drawing is made bigger.

So if you all would like me to Edit it let me know. I don't mess with otheres peoples art unless given the ok=)

And if you guys are not attached i can even draw up some new ones.. its what ever you want.

Oh who has the original? Jon? if you all want some work done to it PM the original please hopefully its a bigger size?

I would like to see what you can do, Glen, in terms of "cleaning up" the current logo and providing a few new logos. I like the fish....but it doesn't really speak much about "Nashville" specifically or Tennessee in general. And then there is the fact that we seem to have plenty of members in surrounding states....so do we (meaning "Rick") want to consider a name change. Personally, I am a HUGE fan of clever acronyms. And limmericks.

My 2 cents. I would like to see a logo that is specific to Nashville if the name remains MCAA, which I assume it is going to!

IMO it should stay the same as it is. I would propose a "new logo" for the club's 50th Anniversary.

Yes this logo is nice don't get me wrong. Its not the design but the quality of the image being used. A vector image would be good, or at least a good digital copy. I wouldn't mind getting a shirt or laptop sticker or bumper sticker if the quality was good. I bet others would too. I personally wouldn't see any harm in this same logo having a splash of color. I love the picture. I'm not hating. but as far as site design, swag, letterheard what have you, I think I speak for the majority when I say we can step it up a notch. I mean on this thread alone I bet there are least 3 users have the ability and the generosity to try it for free at no cost to the club. I personally don't think there would be any harm in having a few version of the same logo. Just thoughts

I have no artistical talent but I definitely think you guys could come up with something cool. It doesn't mean we HAVE to change our logo right now but it would be nice to try to improve it for the future.
