It would personally mean a lot to me, knowing that this is the sort of thing our club was about. I am also pretty sure you would be helping to make these elderly patient's day a little brighter as well.

What is this person looking for ... I have freshwater fish I can spare.

I do live too far away to carry her any fish, but emailed her to send me a mailing address and I would send them some food for the fish and also asked if there was anything else they needed. Most nursing home won't put out any money to keep a fish tank running, so they usually rely on donations to keep them going. My mother spent the last two years of her life in a nursing home and she missed her fish tank (a 65 gal.which I still have), but they didn't have one where she was at. So I love this idea and think it is a great thing for the club to do !!! I think the club should be alot more involved in the communitys instead of thinking about ourselves. I am wide open for that !!! I may be slow and looking to back down a bit, but I will never back down from lending an helping hand !!!! Thumbs up for posting this project !!!!

i agree with Tom on this . both of my parents lived their last yrs out in a nursing home near me. if someone makes contact with this lady maybe one sat as a club project several of us could go set their tanks up the rite way and stock them with fish, im willing to go if someone will talk to her and set it up. i got plenty of bristle nose i can take for all her tanks.

I just got an return email saying the add had been flagged !! If someone can find out some information, please let me know and I will send some of the things she needs. This is something that really pisses me off, someone that is trying to do something good for some older folks and they get flagged off CL, but you let some jerk put anything they want just trying to rip you off and no body bothers them. This is a screwed up world !!!
