Hello everyone I have a friend that is down sizing and they are getting rid of their 75 gallon saltwater tank. I have freshies but this will be my first salty. I we are moving it over here this weekend. I have always wanted to have a saltwater tank so when this opportunity presented itself I could not pass it up for the price. It has live rock and some leathers as well as a few fish, and a mated pair of banded shrimp. I live down in Franklin County but I'm in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area all the time so I am sure I will be around to use the discounts I will have a lot of questions getting started and if you have any advice just let me have it. I look forward to joining your community. Steve Attachments:

Important thing with salt: lighting, waterchanges. Every time I get lazy I get algae blooms and my coral dies. I try and change 15% a week. I dont like messing with it so I get my water mixed at the critter and have them run test 2 times a year. I change bulbs on light every 6 months. Good luck!

Welcome Steve !
Looks like a good system you are getting there, I think you will be ahead of the game by getting an established tank.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. After reading over the boards I am really excited to be a part of the community, you guys seem pretty tight-nit and helpful to one another. Here is a picture of one of my fish it is a bit bury however. Attachments:
