I have a fluorescent light that is buzzing loudly. I've heard that the ballast is bad if it is buzzing real loud. Should I just get a new light, or can you buy a ballast cheap. I've never had this issue before, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's for a 46 gallon bow front tank. It's a nice light, but I can replace the whole light for around 45 dollars at petsmart I believe.

Thanks for the info. Stoney. I'll check a few places locally, to see how cheap a ballast would be. If it's anywhere close to the cost of a new one, then I'll just buy another one. It's the kind of light that comes with the tanks at petsmart.
