Start taking pics for the Jan. contest starting Dec. 15 and going through Dec. 31.
Winner for December has to sit out until grand prize is given, so if you entered, reenter, if you didn't please submit pic no matter your experience. Rick Easterly will hopefully figure the camera to computer to photobucket to forum and we might see a glimpse of an angel fish this month. Prize will be 8oz of pellet food- large, fry, or medium, your choice. We had a very good Dec. contest and hopefully we can build from there.

No, feedback I had was wait until swap for grand prize. They want it to be strictly pic and nothing personal.

Is there a guideline for how we should be judging these. Based on guidelines from other photo contest i think there were 2 pics better then that one. Dont get me wrong i liked the one that won.

Thats the way it should be cause some could take a photo of a really common fish, but the photo may be outstanding. Its a photo contest not fish contest.

Guideline is your judgement for what you think was the overall best picture. Type of fish shouldn't matter and it is 100% your opinion. In my opinion the best picture did win. It is in perfect focus, crisp, and not overexposed. But in these type things, you never know, and it is all for fun.

Also, once you win you are out until the grand prize at the swap, so winners will keep changing.

Ditto to Alan and Jon's comments above. We will have a run off of the monthly winners @ the next swap/meet for the best of the best. Then the 6 month contest will begin all over again. The winners will be announced @ the swap/meets after the grand prize winner is selected. The monthly winners get their pic. posted for a month each. The 6 month winner wins the grand prize. The voters decide who the monthly and 6 month winners are, with no names attached until after ea. 6 month winner is selected via vote. Then all names are announced.
I hope I said that right. Jon correct me if I miss-stated or left anything out please.

Update from Jon from another thread.
The winner is the featured pic of the month for December, or the Pic that won the November contest. I just had it a month forward because it is the picture of the month for December. The January pic of the month will have the contest in Dec. to be featured for Jan.
