I will have them in a 45 and wanted to have a few Daffodil Brichardi's and Lamp. Lelupi's also. Just an idea, but these are the ones I like. I don't have any big tanks avail. for Front's. My big tanks are full of Angels. Heck, little tanks too.

Call me silly, but the most attractive trait about Frontosas for me has been their behavior. They act.....royal, maybe regal is a better word. They seem to be in slow motion a lot of the time but their position as an ambush hunter is obvious when they decide to "return fire" or go eat someone (that's why God made Cyprichromis!). I've had Trets and they are just typical meanie Lamps, just like Tetracanthus but with stripes. Don't hate me, Trets are very pretty fish but behavior is what has kept me in fish all these years and Frontosas still make me chuckle and admire their dispositions. Now if they would just obey when I tell them to go forth and multiply LOL. And Ree123, maybe your angels and Frontosas would cohabitate? Just a thought

Jon, that is what most breeders do with fronts, Starve them for 1-2 days once every 2 weeks ,and feed them Krill right after a water change. Some say blood worms also ,but krill is somethign they need for breeding and the deep water ones need it most. Just some info i heard from a trusted moba breeder. Let me know if this weekend is going to work to pick up the C. mobas or not =)

Yes, I feed krill, earthworms, pellets, fry I need to cull, pellets, and mysis. I havent fasted them on purpose, and I dont do large water changes at one time. I might try that in the future. I had a female holding a few times, but she is spitting the eggs early.

Thanks Jon. Fronts and Angels together ? Really ? I wouldn't have imagined that. It doesn't work for very long, at least in the tank sizes I've tried. But like a prom date from many years back, it is nice for a while. Thanks for tip about krill, I've heard about/tried freeze dried and frozen ones with some success, some agel breeders say the same about FD mysis shrimp. One of my burundi frons is holding today-woo hoo! WTG on the Mobas!

Had a couple of those prom dates. Can relate.
I swear by frozen blood worms to bring my Angels into spawning mood.

Jon's place is GREAT for any of you that have not been ! It's fun just to browse, or take a picture or two; not to mention coming home with more inhabitants for your own tanks.
