So I have this little guy in my 55 right now growing him out till I get the 180 in March. Thought I would share a pic. He is very shy right now and only eats at night. I had to have him.

Way cool Brother! Keep us posted with more pics, and your 180!!! How are you planning on setting it up?
Bnoel: they will lance you if you scare them or if they feel threatened. I think that the chances of this happening are pretty slim....kinda like how everyone worries at first about sticking their hand into a piranha tank. I would think that the more they are handled or the more you perform routine maintenance, the less they care about the pair of hands sloshing around them or touching them. They get used to it, and they are fairly intelligent. It is best to get more than one, otherwise they tend to be prone to being shy.

Lol I usually feed him with tongs just in case. He almost seems to be an ambush predator. He will bury himself and just jumps out. Definatley have to say he is intriguing.

Oh... well I might retract the statement above about wanting one... maybe I'll just look at the pictures.

Do all rays that are available in the hobby still have their barbs?
