You know I hear stories about how amazing this place is during Christmas. Does anyone think its worth a 45 minute drive to go check it out?

Well Worth the trip !!! Our family, which includes all of our kids and the grandkids too, has a tradition of going there every Dec. together, and we have already been this year. It is a fabulous afternoon and evening ! We arrive before dark and stay until after dark. Great picture opportunities too.

Thanks for sharing pic's Jon. Nice job. There are many other pic. opportunities besides the ones Jon placed here. Many, Many more ! There are 3 gigantic green houses, along with all the hotel, inside and out, and all is decorated.

Where did you find to park for $10 ? The lot we used was $18 plus tax. We usually just meet all the kids in the free mall parking lot, leave all their cars there, and all drive over in one car, and then we only pay to park the one car.
BTW... the hotel is free, only parking has a cost to it. And... for another amt. unknown to me, there is the Ice presentation that I hear the kids just love.
Another fun thing, but rather expensive, is to attend the Rockett's Christmas Show @ the Opry house. It is a really good show.

Did not know about the walkway. I will have to find that next year. Did you all park near the ice event ? How did you, or how would I, find the proper walkway next time ? I don't need to be hunting it unsuccessfully next year. Is it marked somehow ?

If you're going to eat at one of the nice restaurants in Opryland Hotel, you can use valet parking (I recommend the Magnolia entrance) and get your parking ticket validated and it will be free. We did that tonight and it was quick and easy.
