Love the video, Fuzzy! That's a fun tank, and I am pretty amazed that the other fish have been keeping their distance from your fry. Thanks for sharing!

Thx Man, its not aquascaped quite like I would like. I still have a big piece of slate weighing down some new driftwood additions. I think I may also be in the market from some low light plants if you have any recommendations

I'm not even sure if you could scape it....your fish would probably dig up a lot of the stems. You could do some floaters, for certain! Maybe some vals would work in addition to some anubias, java fern. Maybe a big Amazon Sword or two would work, if it could get it's roots established and not be dug up. How much light do you have over it?

Hmm, cant remember what my bulbs are. Just two normal strip lights on that one. and a full sun window with no curtain about 4 ft away. Yeah I have been searching ebay for some big swords and mikeswetpets. I have also seen some Anubias Barteri sp.(6 rhyzomes) for like 4 bucks shipped but coming from somewhere in asia. Im not sure I want to risk those auctions or not

I can speak for mikes.....I wouldn't take anything shipped from overseas. They usually arrive dead. You could probably get some anubias species from another hobbyist on TPT.net or try aquariumplants.com. The sun from the window should be bright enough to grow low light. You could try experimenting with a sword....it would interesting to see if the sunlight would be enough to grow it.

Just another fry update. I never removed any of the fry. The parents are still guarding pretty well even though the fry are swimming all over the tank now.

I'm super surprised there are so many fry still around like you have said before with so many bigger fish in the tank. I guess its not always bigger fish eat smaller fish.

Nice video. Most CA cichlids are fantastic parents.

I have several left but My eel and Ropefish sure are fat. They really havent increased in size I may throw up a video later. I am probably going to rehome my male just to get the mojo in my tank back to normal. I loved watching the breeding and parenting process and showing my kids but that is just too much drama for my show tank. lol
