I had extra time, last night so I stripped some fry off some peacocks
20+ ngara flametail 40+ blue orchid 20+ dragon blood 20+ firefish 40+ german red 40 + ob
I had about 8 more females holding eggs. I rarely have time to strip so this was a nice bonus. I just hate the wait from fry to 1.5"

cool my Honduran Red Points just spawned and my Herichthys carpintis Escondido No they didn't, or there would be pictures of it on this site. I really like those h. c. escondidos. Their coloration is amazing. And you can probably catch them on a hook and line down there where you are, too.

All of the Carpintis like what you have are found further down in Mexico. I've seen a lot of really nice cyano's caught in texas though, so it's definately worth going fishing for.

That's why common names stink. They lead to a lot of confusion and people come home from pet stores with the wrong fish. And geophagus brasiliensis are also sold by pearlscale cichlids. So be careful when buying CA or SA cichlids listed by common names.
