Great day with courtney and pic up some great fish at Riftfish.com. I got 2 huge Show quality fish. Came home to 16 dead. I am super upset. I spent all my extra money on fish today and lost so much money. I have been buying great super cool fish to fill my show tank. I feel so dumb I took the extra HOB filter That was running on it for a 20 gallon i was starting up.

???So you lost fish while you were out getting fish??? That really sucks. What happened to them? I know you said you took an extra filter off the tank but I don't understand how that would have killed any fish.

I guess I really need to start a post called Vent. It would be a post that you could just talk about anything that is fish related that you as FISH Keepers would understand. That fish died like me mad. Put fish that dont mix. Bought a new high $$$$ part or got some filter that sucks. While maybe a Idea you had and Just bombed. Dumb posts. All the things that make us mad.

I know your pain. Between the two of us we could have bought a WC group of Moba with the money that we lost

Well maybe it wasnt that. Think about it for example when i went to the swap/meet i had some fish in a bag for near 8 hours. Also when some people ship they dont put bag buddies and ship usps priority 2 day. I may be confused but this may not be your prob.

Mike, what kind of filtration do you run on this tank? (Brian - he has the temp elevated and the tank medicated. Sounds like he has an oil film on the water surface - hence no oxygen exchange. This is why he believes the tank was depleted of 02).

I've seen Mike's tanks. Overstocked, as we all continually suggest to do, yet a failure such is this is the big risk. Lessons for all of us. I have lost tanks full of Angels in similar ways in times past.
Mike so sorry to hear of your losses. I know it is disheartening, but you will recover. Now there is some room for some breeding to go on ! Try to fill you mind with half full instead of half empty (tanks).
