This is just my opinion but having the "Pro" shots with people that have several thousand dollor setups takes the fun out of this for me atleast. Its gonna drive a lot of people who dont have exspensive cameras to not enter any more. Just my 2 cent deposit.

^^^^ what he said. Although I agree that is a beautiful pic it kinda makes it hard to compete. But with that said it is not like we are competing for $500. It is food or bragging rights. I know I have a beautiful fish and my opinion is what matters the most to me. Just saying.

Everyone has a right to there opinion but this just sounds like sour grapes. The contests are just for fun. I have a cheap camera and have no problem loosing to the firemouth picture. It is a much better shot then mine. I'm not a photography person so it's no big deal to me. I could easily buy a nice camera instead of a few fish this year, but I'd rather have the fish.

I wouldn't consider that a pro shot either. More and more hobbiest have great camera equipment for posting on the many forums. I see shots that quality or better on several of the forums everyday. You make it sound like you want the club to hand out disposable film cameras for people to use for the contest.

You can't drive a pinto onto a race track and expect to win. Doesn't mean that you do not have nice fish. Just means you suck at photography like me
