Question for anyone with some goby experience. I have 3 WC gobies, 1 male 2 females. I have been told that the female will hold first then near the end she passes them off to the male. Well since I moved them to my 72 I have seen some action but didn't think anything happen till recently. I'm confused tho right now. The male looks at the food drop to the bottom of the tank but not eating for the last three days. He is usually right out there one of the first at feedings. He is still very active in the tank, but just isn't eating. This makes me think he may be holding, but no bulging bottom jaw. Do they not bulge with gobies?

the fry are good size and if he is holding you should see him jumbling his mouth, and should see a buldge in his mouth. I take mine from the female before he takes them so not seen the male hold yet.

Ok thanks for the info Glen i really do appreciate it. I heard stripping a goby was a little risky. Sometimes the females dont make it. Is this true.

I have not found that to be a problem yet but i have only striped mine twice. they are kind of a new fish for me also, but i think they are no more delicate then any other tanganikan.
Things to remember when stripping fish: 1. dont ever hold them with dry hands 2. Dont leave them out of water tolong ( i hold mine in a bowl and her face is 90% of the time in water as she spits)
