A good average is about 75 degrees, ph 7.2 to 7.5, gh 10 to 18 or so, 20-40% h20 change ea. week, good quality flake food daily or more often than daily if time permits, and brine shrimp several times per week. Fry benefit from BBS every day for the first few weeks of life as do most fry of all of our species we breed. Microworms could intertwine in these fry feedings as well.
Fry tanks benefit from a 10 to 20 % h20 change every other day, but can go a few days longer if needed, although some serious breeders would tell you a h20 change needs to take place every day for them.
My best guess is either your h20 is to cool and has slowed their metabolism, thus few fry, or you have to old of a pair to produce fry well for you, or your female is having fry and they are being canabolized by the parents or any other tank mates before you notice. It is really rather easy to miss the fry until they are gone. Adding floating plants or floating cover is the answer to this.
Raising guppies is best accomplished in separate tanks from other types of fish with the exception of some catfish.
