Ran across a tank and stand setup I almost can't pass up and had an idea to make the wife happy, but need info from you since I have never done this before. Its a 40g breeder on a stand with an attachment to hang the light aver the tank. The light that comes with this setup costs more then the $350 they are asking for the complete setup and they just put two new $80 bulbs in it. I can't remember for the life of me what kind of light it was. What I need info on how to setup or if it can be done. My wife loves angel fish and has fallen in love with planeted tanks here recently. So could I put maybe 5-6 small angels in here and weed it out to a pair and also add my pair of kribensis in this tank? I also have no idea of how to even start with setting up or keeping a planted tank so if you could tell me everything I need to know there it would be helpful. I know its a lot to ask but would like any info you could give me. My lfs is growing plants for sale in the store, but what would be some good plnpants to start with. The info you all gives me depends on if i go back and buy this setup. Thank you for your help.

probably metal hallide. you can do it just get low light plants. use ecocomplete substrate. go to ebay and do a search for mikeswetpets get like amazon swords and java ferns and anubias. you will find that some work great for you and some probably wont. google flourish excel and the like for additives to get you started.
