I picked up some Tangs from Jon yesterday. I grabbed 5 Black Calvus and 2 Blue Dot Goby's.
PS - Sorry about the scratches on the tank (there when I bought it) and the dogs barking in the background.
Enjoy!

I picked up these guys from Jon on Wednesday and the Goby's are eating really good but the Calvus aren't really interested. They seem like they're too shy to come out and grab some food. Should I be worried about this? How long should I give them? I bought some frozen mysis shrimp for them and they still weren't interested. What do you guys think? I'm starting to get worried.

Hum, how big are they? if they are small they will hide more, and will always hide when they see you coming, but should come out when you feed them. Do you have alge growing in the tank at all? they love to eat it. I would say they should be fine. remember they like to eat alge and vegggies too =)

My calvus and gobies eat the heck out of some algea on my rocks. I hate looking at the algea but i decided not to clean it off since both fish need to eat it.

I think they may be grazing some at night. I just hate it bc im paranoid. My yellow Calvus will swim all the way to the top and attack the food. But the new guys are still skeered. They're a little smaller than my yellows but not by much.
