Do You Ever Feel This Way

Just wondering if anyone ever feels that they are so overwhelmed with this hobby that sometimes they dont even feel like doing a simple water change. Right now with all the downs i have have lately with my tanks i just dont have the motivation to do anything but feed the fish. Usually my tanks are almost show ready. Some of you the have come to my house have seen this. Right now i feel so burned out and i dont know how to get out of this funk. I even took down a few of my small tanks. Maybe next week when i go buy a crap load of new fish from Jon and reaquascape my 125 my motivation will come back. Any of you ever feel this way.

A lot of people have come and gone on this forum that went from 1 to 20 tanks in the first year. They get the hobby burn out when they start getting behind and then overwhelmed. When it goes from hobby to job it might be time to reevaluate stock, tanks, and maintenance schedule.

It was hard closing down the tanks at my house, but it became such a time and money drain i had to. I am happy now that i did.

Well i took down a few tanks and will probably take down the 20 and 29 soon also. I love the hobby just need my motivation back. Maybe its because im broke right now and next week when im not broke hopefully it will change. Especially when i get my new haps/peacocks. Im excited about that.

I have felt this way in spells. I get the most enjoyment out of the maintenance and parts/pieces that make the whole. Probably more so than the fish themselves, so thus far it's not been too much of a burden. There's nothing wrong with taking a step back though if it becomes too much. "Multiple Tank Syndrome" is something most enthusiastic hobbyists have or have had, so you aren't the first.
