After much debate between a friend and I, we have decided to get a fish room going for collection, breeding and trade-ables. While this is a small footprint(for now) we are starting with about 1400 gallons over 30 tanks. Found an old angel breeder in Atlanta getting out of the business, and got all the equipment for a smoking deal. I will upload more as we construct. Attachments:

Good luck and keep the pictures coming. You should PM Rick (our president) for his input, too. He's got a fish room on that scale and would have some good advice on managing temperature, humidity, etc. He's had some issues he could help you avoid.

Where did you get the stands? Or are they just standard stands painted?

Ben. Several here had various sizes of fish room and we all have good and bad experiences we could share. Keep the thread going on your progress and ask questions you want/need to know and we'll all advise. I'm glad to share all I know, just need to know what you need/want to know.

I do remember your room Bunnie. It was nice already, so to say you have it more finished means it must look very good and be user friendly for you. Glad to hear of your progress. You have a history of producing many fine specimens of fish and plants and hope we will be seeing more of both in coming months and @ the next swap/meet. Good to see ya posting here again.

Wow Ben. Remember to take it one day @ a time. Lots and lots to do right now and it will take some time to get all set up correctly. Ask for advice along the way and I am sure some of the fish room experience will be offered up for you here. There are many with advice, who have fish rooms among us.

Thanks for all the kind responses and the offers of assistance. Weve still got to build the actual room itself, but that should be done by the weekend. In the past, I had 4200 gallons and an above ground pool in the garage for my peacock bass. Its been a few years since I set a room up, but Im not going in blind. Having said that, Im sure there will be things I am missing, or have forgotten, and I will be leaning on you guys for that, for sure. After work were going to unload the trailer and truck. Im getting a bit more excited every day...
