Just an update. Went to the doctor yesterday for my one week follow up. Got the cast off and the stitches will fall out on there own. Surgeon said the the surgery was a little more intense then expected. She thought she was going to just clean up some scar tissue and free up my nerve, but come to find out the nerve was seperated and they had to cut my tricep open and reattach the nerve under the muscle and that's why I'm in so much pain a week later. I got to be really careful for the next couple weeks cause I have stitches under the skin holding my muscle into place right now. So until that heals up if a stitch pops my muscle will be seperated. Other then that every day that goes by the pain gets a little better. I can't straighten or fully bend my arm yet and will take some time. I start physical therapy on Monday and drive on from there. Full recovery could take up to 9-12. Gonna do what my docs say work hard with therapy and just keep my fingers crossed and say a few prayers so that I can fully recover. I'm not trying to have a 5th surgery

Absolutely do EXACTLY what the docs say. Take it easy. That sounds painful.

Take it easy, Sleazy!! Something about a stitch "popping" that always causes my stomach and belly button to feel funny in a bad way. Heal up quickly Bri! I'll keep you in my prayers!! Especially when physical therapy starts!

I had my pain meds changed on Friday to something a lot weaker then percocet. New meds, Ultram, worked great all weekend, but today is my first day back to work since the surgery and my pain level has gone up dramatically just from saluting, putting my beret on and working at the computer. Hope this gets better soon. Starting to get highly frustrated.

Hey, I have some friends at your base... heck I was born at the local hospital there.
Anywho, you'll get there. The pain will start to decrease with time. I've been through over 5 surgeries so... just give it time man. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger. You'll look back later and realize the pain could have been worse... that I can promise you.
