depends on how much work is in it. I have another one that I had posted for $35 but Im about to amp it up some and re-post it. I learned alot more making this one so I think I may ad to alot of my others I had posted. I have a 55 gallon one that is jet black also thats pretty cool. Gives you the jet black background while still having some depth.

My question with 3d backgrounds in general is I see the filter can go over it but what about the heater? Were does that go?

no the black background should be done monday. the heater can be placed anywhere. I have it in the corner. You can see it on the last pic. However the sometimes I leave a gap in the background for the heater to be placed into. I have noticed the heaters are not coming on near as much too. I guess cause of the styro insulation around the glass is actually holding in alot of the heat.

Im really interested in doing maybe my 125, 72 and 55. I just have to get rid of these kribensis out of my 2 50g so I have a place to hold the fish from those tank so I could silicone the background in.

epoxy is still wet thats why there is a sheen. I will have to do one more coat aswell. the cracks between the rocks are about .75" deep so there is more depth than it appears. However its only 1.25" thick at thickest.
