So, I've found a new hobby. My poor fish, they ain't getting all my love, lately. I started working on building a new bed for Aiden about 5 weeks ago, and finally finished last weekend. I bet you could make a pretty penny building custom tank stands and canopys. Im actually looking into have a custom stand made that holds 2 50g tanks side by side and has 2 20g long tanks under them. Not going to happen anytime soon, but im waiting till I can afford the tools and learn to build myself

The tools are NOT cheap. I spent about $500 on tools all throughout that project. But I think I have all the hardware I need to do just about anything now.

Im actually putting away money each pay check so I can get all the tools I need. I retire from the Army in less then 3 years and by then I want to beable to build anything I want when I buy my first house. I want to build nice custom tank stands and canopies, bookshelfs for my wife, new dressers for the wife and kids, computer desks, headboards and anything else I can build instead of buy. Im really looking forward to it. If I do a good job with it I may open up a side business to go along with my fish store.

Well, you need to check out Ana White's website... all the plans are very detailed, easy to build, and FREE. !!!!! I am a big fan of free.

Great job! I have plenty more tools to buy, can't wait until I get them. One of the things my wife and I are going to do is build our house. Main reason is to support projects a lot like what you build and support the weight of my tanks.
Keep up the great work. I'm sure you can write up the designs for this and sell them for some extra cash. I know I've seen ads on CL for work like this.
