Growth from the beginning, when we pushed this, was awesome, then it dropped off and seems silent now. Don't know the exact reason why, but maybe we need to push the ads again. All users we can bring in before the swap/meet just means that many more of our fellow hobbyists we might reach that could become our new next best friends. I remain convinced there are hobbyist all around us who still don't know we are here.

Well id say not many are still posting. Have you guys considered putting a lil club money toward a small ad in the pet section of the local Nashville newspaper?

I'm wondering if they're getting used to seeing the ad the way it looks now? Should we redesign the ad? Idk...
An ad in the newspaper may not be a bad idea depending on how much $ it takes. We don't have much...

I think the paper is overkill. We need to advertise all the free ways we can. Fish stores, Craigslist, Facebook and any other free places we can think of.

Both of my ads that I recently re-posted were flagged and removed.

Do we have an "official" flyer for putting in pet stores, or are we free to just make up our own?

Especially as we get closer to the swap meet, we should put up craigslist ads for the meet. I think that might be more effective than ads simply for the club.

We have all kinds of offical things having to do with policies and guidelines and are always creating more to apply to the members needs, wants & desires. This post is assuming you really wanted to know this from your posting. If your posting was just a funny, then I have only told ya what all of ya already know.

As far as the C.L. ads are concerned, Jess was offering suggestions and making requests for various members within our group to place these ads, using her format as a guide to follow. No hard and fast rules. Your imagination is accepted, to draw in by whatever means is possible, new members to our forum and club.
We are going to make up some flyers to use in local pet stores, that we will offer to participants @ the May swap/meet, but you can make your own, if you believe it will promote our group and drive membership.
