once color starts up like that the growth rate usually increases.

nice fish, i have a friend in San antonio that is send me some free tamatoes I have never had vics lol, and i have no clue where im going to put them. but he really wants me to have them for somereason... lol ill post some pic when i get them later in the week. you ever had a tomato >?

Good luck with those I have one that only colors up when he's fighting. He's beautiful then. Mine is a diff species but I assume he needs females to really make him show his color

I'm sitting here in front my tank now on my tablet and this guy has changed more in color since I took the pics. All the silver is gone and his body is fully a golden red. I think he is going to be amazing full grown
