I pondered this idea a little while ago and didn't go with it but now I'm pretty sure I am.... I'm going to take down my fish room and turn it back into a garage. My car is getting butchered by the elements (and DANG birds!). I'm going to get rid of most of my tanks and get a large one to go down in my basement. I'm going to keep my 75 gal Tang tank upstairs and probably keep a couple of backup tanks and equipment (of course) but I'm going to drastically reduce the number of tanks I'm keeping. I just don't have the time to devote to it. My new job is keeping me quite busy and this house keeps me pretty busy too. Anyways, I haven't quite decided which tanks I'm going to sell but I do know that I'll be looking for a 150+ gallon tank for a decent price. If you guys come across one, please let me know. I'll want it to be a show tank with a nice stand and probably a hood too. Anyways, just thought you all should know. I'll still be highly involved in the club and all, just reducing the number of tanks I have setup. BTW - My goby's just had 6 more fry.

Well this is disappointing news...........Jess, you could convert a corner of your garage and block it in for a smaller fishroom with much less expense and overhead, thus much less maintence too. I have only about 1/2 of our garage closed in for my fishroom. This would allow you room for your car too. Just some thoughts to ponder. You know you will be wanting to have some breeding tanks and fry tanks in the future, and this way they won't be spread out all over the house, with the exception of the one or two display tanks. Some tanks can always sit dry for a while if need be. You won't have to buy them again when you change your mind either. Again,.....just ideas for you to mull over.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I was looking forward to your progress, but we all understand! Maybe sometime down the road!

Yea, the garage is just a one car garage. Barely big enough for my Camry (full-sized car). Plus I park my bike in it too... Doubt I'll have any extra space.

Two choices: move or build a mezzanine over the car.

I have two hobbies now... the fish and building furniture... sad thing is... they both need room. I only have a 3 bedroom apartment. So, the fish get a room. The table saw gets a room. My kid gets a room.
I sleep on the couch.
