I think it would be beneficial especially for new peeps for there to be some kind of rating/reputation scoring or section where we give feedback about personal trades and transactions within the community. A written review is maybe too much, as it's very hard to be constructive tactfully... and feelings do get hurt. But maybe a reputation or trading points where we can do a +1 or +2 and write a little note? Don't know if that's within the scope of our hosting capabilities, but if it is, that is something I would like to see.

We kind of have the karma, but it isn't quite official. A review can be harsh, but it is a good way to clear the air. If I unintentionally do someone wrong, my feelings would not be hurt with a bad review as long as they give me a chance to make it right. Then I would expect them to follow up on review if I made it right and not leave the bad hanging out there.
In that scenerio, it would all be out there and I think that is the beauty of the forum. But for now you can use karma until e find a better way.
FYI, if someone goes negetive karma, I will change them to 0. If you put someone in the negetive, just right a short review do they can respond.

Perhaps some guidelines on how to use the karma... and perhaps some guidelines on how to review individual transactions with each other... Me personally, I wouldn't write a review if there were a problem before going to the person directly and see if it can be made right FIRST. Know what I mean?

Yep, I would hope going to person would be first option. If that happens I would say they would get a good review. I mean if you do that and seller says tough. I guess Rick and the officers would be the people to talk to about that. I am sure we can bring it up in meeting at the swap.

The Karma guidelines have already been written and posted. If further addendum's need to be added to update it, then that can happen. If further questions/suggestions exist or arise, please feel free to speak up again. These existing guidelines can be found under the Announcement board; sub-board, MCAA Policies.
It is always preferable for a dispute to be worked out between the individuals involved, whether Karma is used or not. The club also has a policy in place of not becoming directly involved in private disputes, unless those disputes become public on the forum, and are aggressive toward another publicly.
Hope this helps and explains.
