Great video ! Feed mine zucchini and yellow squash the same way but with a different type hanger. They like green beans and sweet potato too, but not as much as the first two.

Haven't tried the beans and potatoes, but they love the squash too. Most of my fish eat it.

Many will blanch the sweet potatoes.

I've thought about buying one of those holders, but I never got around to it. Looks like it works great though!
Also, plecos love english peas. Just boil them for about 3 mins., let cool a little, then peel the outer skin off. They will drop to the bottom of the tank like a rock and the plecos will devour them. Just don't feed too much to the fry. They'll eat it till they explode! LOL.......

I do green beans because they will soften and typically sink for me. As far as my Zucchini I just stick a fork in my quartered section down towards the skin and it will sink right to the bottom. Then I just take the fork out when the food is gone

Never tried the English Peas. Do they come frozen, in a can, a box or how packaged ? Peeling tiny peas sounds like a pain though. Does that take forever or are they big ? Not sure what an English pea is or it's size.
I too have used forks and spoons for years to sink fresh foods for my Pleco's, but find if you buy some grill skewers @ Wal Mart and bend them to hang over the edge of the tank lip, then just stab the cut up veggies onto the pointed end and leave them hanging down the glass wall, the Plec's will come up and hang on to eat. No hands in the water and no more retrieving utensils to re-use. Just a thought for you all.

I've gotta try the sinking thing with larger pieces. Most of my other fish are large enough to where they just rip it off whatever I use to anchor it with. The pleco never even gets a chance. I think the key will be using a large piece (not slices) so they can't get at it as easily.

You could just stab a whole piece with a fork or two and sink it to the bottom. "It could happen............"

The english peas can be a pain Rick, but the pleco's love them. They are pretty small and peeling them can take a few minutes for sure. I buy the frozen english peas that come in a bag, although you can get them in cans. The canned one's are to soft though. I usually fix the peas when I don't have anything else to do. I'll kick back in the recliner, after I've boiled them, and peel for 15 minutes or so.
