depends on the piece but Most are at 1.50/lb and they really don't vary from that price too much at all... prices on things like that are always able to be haggled as well

Wow, this is a mighty impressive list of plants you are bringing. Are the prices of what you are bringing the same as the prices on your site? I am going to need to bring a whole months paycheck with me, my husband is not going to like you very much!!! How many/much are the Nerites? I am about to get some and you might have saved me the searching for them..

these are zebra nerites... black shells slightly elongate but not pointed with white stripe from apeture to shell tip I am starting at 2.00 ea.. LOL but talk to me... I will be bringing about 60-70 with me and just so you can see a pic and compare---- here is someone else's listing... www.livefishdirect.com/store.php?fid=885 a lot of what I am bringing is not on the site yet but what is will be same price. I update species lists a couple times a year but when I found out about the swap meet I have kinda not added new species until I see what I come back with.. I hate to list something and have only a couple portions for sale..LOL And whatever you don't get this time will be on site when I get back so you can space any anger he has out some if ya need to..LOL

That's funny, I think I'd rather take all the madness at one time than to have to deal with it for an extended time!
Those are cute Nerites I am glad you are bringing them. I think I might have to make a shopping list!

FANTASTIC LIST !
THANK YOU for listing the way you did so the Cichlid hobbyists can research and consider what they might be able to use in their particular set-ups. As you know, many of our fellow hobbyists here are Cichlid keepers.
The balance of the list is GREAT too ! There is so much to choose from, one is almost overwhelmed ! I personally Love It !
Looking forward to seeing you on May 20 !!!

Ken, could you tell me what process you use to mineralize the soil? Do you follow the guidelines of drying and soaking at all? I have been meaning to ask, so maybe asking here will give other folks some information as well.

Yes!!!!!!!!! I spread my standard topsoil in large pond linered bin and soak it allow it to dry and repeat that process a minimum of 15 times.. but usually more like 23-25 times.. depends on the soil to a degree.. the point of this is to also aid decomposition of any organic matter.. then it is dried again.. then sifted through 5 ever smaller sifts until it is soil and no chunks of any remaining organic matter included.. Then I use natural red clay and blue clay that is dried thoroughly.. Break it with rubber mallet then grind it to a medium fine consistency separately.. and mix it with the soil at a rate of 3 parts soil to one part red clay and one part blue clay. ( the clay is a wonderful source of minerals and nutrients and also acts as a flocculent to keep "stuff" from mixing in water column. I use blue and red clay because the red clay has more Minerals-esp iron- but the blue clay is a better flocculent) This is then tossed and mixed completely and bagged as part 1 of the Mineralized topsoil Then I take dolomite and grind it to a medium fine grind and mix 1:1 with Muriate of potash. This is then bagged as Part 2 of the mineralized Top soil..
Instructions are included ( with pics) with every order. BUT
1) choose a substrate that makes you happy visually and wet it and place a rim along bottom front and sides of tank.. 2) take a tub and mix Part 1 of the soil with enough water to make a " mud Pie" consistency. 3) sprinkle Part 2 of the Mineralized Top soil inside the rim on the bottom of the tank... 4) Place the Mud Pie Part 1 of the soil inside the rim of substrate in bottom of your tank.. about 1 inch thick. 5) top the "Mud Pie" with more of your chosen visual substrate on top to a total depth of about 2.5 inches in the back and 1.75 inches in the front. 6) SLOWLY fill the tank half way... ( techniques are given) 7) plant your plants.. 8) top off your tank

Fantastic. I was hoping to hear that you indeed followed the drying soaking process. And how great is this, that you already add clay to the soil!!! I got some soil that someone else processed and used that on my first 2 dirted tanks. There was no mention of clay though, so I bought a clump and still have no idea how to add it yet. That will come. I am very excited now!! (FYI, I will be referring folks to you for soil needs)
